Suggested Common Name: Short-shouldered Beach-Cerberus
Etymology: refering to an unknown person named Renaud. Common name refers to the extremely short lateral lobes on pereonites 2-4, a unique feature within the genus.

Description: (modified from Chappuis & Delamare-Deboutteville, 1956) Antenna 1 4-segmented, segment 2 with plumose seta and lateral lobe; segment 4 with elongate aesthetasc. Pereopods 2-7 dactyl claws short, unequal in thickness. Antenna 2 peduncle 6-segmented, segment 6 with large distolateral plumose seta; flagellum 6-segmented, segment 6 with thin aesthetasc. Pereonites 2-4 medial lobe short, subtruncate, angles acute, distolateral margin with long prominent seta, separated by deep notch; lateral lobe extremely short, shorter than medial lobes, subtruncate, distal margin sometimes bifid. Penes evenly rounded. ♂ pleopod 2 protopod rectangular with small feathery structure at base of endopod; exopod ovate, distally finely striated, with simple apical seta; endopod body simple, ovate, tip subacute, cannula completely free from endopod and extending behind and past tip. Uropod exopod very short, inconspicuous; endopod stocky with 3 plumose distal setae.
Geographic Range: Only known from Bimini, where it occured on an ocean beach in northern Alice Town.
Notes: The extremely short lateral lobes on pereonites 2-4 are highly distinctive within the genus Coxicerberus and can distinguish it from the other 2 species in the genus that occur in the same general region.
